Wanna see your shoe in Lakai Fall09 collection?

Oh well, better late than never. Lakai is having a colourway contest and the winning shoe will be featured in their Fall09 collection. Ever looked at a pair of Lakai shoe and thought, 'can't they make a better looking pair of shoe? I can do better than that.' Now is your chance to do it. Download a template off the lakai website and do your own colouring, just the way you want it and send it back to them by August 5th. Lakai is only accepting one submission per person. If your design is chosen, you will win a yr's supply of your shoe and a feature in the Fall09 catalog. For full contest information and shoe template, go to http://www.lakai.com/index.php.

Skateboarding ain't about race!

On a serious note today, we wanna say:

SKATEBOARDING HAS NEVER BEEN ABOUT ETHNIC RACE AND IT WILL NEVER BE.

Most skaters will know Go Sports is Chinese owned and we employ both Chinese and Malay staff. Our products are 1 price and everyone who walks in here gets the same price, regardless of whether your Chinese, Malay, Indian; local or foreigner. Kids of all race and nationality skate here at go sports -Raynie, juf and sop is Malay, ahmed is Indian, meh meh, deming and wallace etc is Chinese. Other boys that come from SAS, Tanglin Trust, Canadian school, UWC, ISS, Australian school etc, are all multi-national and everyone gets along like a big happy family. We sponsor locals because we want to give back to the local scene, give people a chance to train hard and improve their technique without having the added worry of cost. Everyone and anyone is welcome at Go Sports. We will take offence if you came and disrupted the peace at Go Sports, other than that, we really can't be bothered about your race, age, gender blah blah blah. At the end of the day, skateboarding is about fun, sports and 'family', it isn't about race and there ain't anything you can do about it!
